If you are looking for some home cooked flavour when dining outside, then AhMa PanMee serves as an ideal choice. Having established the second outlet in Promenade Bayan Lepas after the first one in Lebuh Tye Sin Georgetown, AhMa PanMee continued its core value for their food - made with love, just like how AhMa makes it for her loves ones. Simple ingredients are used, but everything is fresh and carefully made into a bowl of hearty pan mee with affordable price.Â
The concept of AhMa PanMee is simple and clear - to preserve and flourish the traditional recipe inherited from owner's grandmother, Carl in Raub, Pahang.
At the same time, he wants to make his Ah Ma proud too. Therefore, what you have in AhMa Pan Mee is what Carl used to taste in his hometown too. Having said that, the taste of the Pan Mee here is unique on its own and cannot be offered elsewhere.
As such, it is a masterpiece from Carl's Ah Ma that you get to taste here!
Priced at RM 8.90 per bowl, AhMa Pan Mee signature noodles are available in 5 different variants - original, dry, curry, spicy and herbal. Every bowl is served with generous ingredients - an onsen egg, pork slices, crispy anchovies, fried bean curd, fish balls, sweet leaves and aromatic fried garlics.
Among the variants we tried during the visit were Curry Pan Mee and Dried Pan Mee. We enjoyed the spicy kick from the curry flavour very much. The curry is full of depth, yet not overpowered by coconut scent. When the curry soup soaked into the fried bean curd and the moment when you chew on it, it is absolutely heaven!
On the other hand, the dried version offers the aroma from soy sauce and let you enjoy the essence of every ingredients. Taste the crunchy anchovies when you crush them, or let the onsen egg flavour infuse to your oral environment.Â
Every bowl of Pan Mee here is enjoyable thanks to fresh ingredients. You can taste it on your own, the al-dente noodles with unique texture, and coupled with all sorts of ingredients make the Pan Mee a comfort food to have during lunch or dinner.Â
If you prefer to have rice during the meal time, there are few options available such as Hakka Style Braised Pork Rice, Special Soy Marinated Pork Rice and Hua Diao Marinated Pork Belly Rice.
Apart of that, Ah Ma Pan Mee also produce a range of delicious snacks. We managed to sample a few, such as Deep Fried Homemade Fish Tofu, Fermented Bean Curd Marinated Pork Belly and Nestum Abalone Mushrooms.Â
Although most of the snacks were deep fried, they were made into a more healthier version by exhibiting less oil as what we felt. I particularly love the homemade fish tofu due to it offer a light taste and complemented the noodles well.Â
For carnivores, then fermented bean curd marinated pork belly is the choice second to none!Â

Recently, Ah Ma Pan Mee also introduce a new dessert - Osmanthus Jelly. Check out their new invention that comes with fluffy texture that pampers your palate to the maximum.Â
On top of that, there are many healthy drinks choices available here, ranging from RM 3.90 - RM 5.90. Considering the scorching hot weather in Penang, these drinks serve as a good choice to cool down your body, and to reduce your body heat too.
On top of that, AhMa PanMee branch at Promenade also offers a cozy and relaxed environment for dining. Although they only sell Pan Mee but you can look at the interior. It is alike a cafe setting, lit up by a chandelier with wide space between tables.Â
For sole diners such as sales person, there are designated table and chair too.Â
