We had a great time in Sunway Carnival Mall Penang by joining the crowd celebrate Ramadan Month with "Wonderful Raya Memories". The upper ground concourse area of the mall is transformed into a real kampung scene, featuring an unique kampung house built on stilts completed with a veranda and furniture, while surrounding by various booth from Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) and Kraftangan Malaysia.
Well, of course the kampung house does not serve for wonderful photography purposes solely. Yoou can play some traditional games such as 'chapteh', 'guli', 'dam' and 'gasing' in the house, while experiencing a traditional kampung house if you never had any chance on visiting one.
There is a beautiful floral tunnel decorated with flowers made from crepe and art paper sitting at the main concourse too. It was crafted by Mojo aka Joanne Teh, a talented young artist who has a hand in crafting with paper and materials from nature. Leverage on the beautiful and unique tunnel for some Instagram worthy pictures.
"Wonderful Raya Memories" was graced by YB Dr. Afif bin Bahardin, member ofthe Penang State Assembly for Seberang Jaya and Penang State Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Agro-Based Industries, Rural Development and Health on 28th May 2018. He was delighted to hear that Mr. Chong Heng Wah, General Manager of Sunway Carnival Mall will be bringing in one million ringgit worth of investment to Penang.
Sunway Carnival Malls also launched an unifying theme - "Lembaran Baru" for this year Hari Raya celebration, meaning new beginning of this year. There will be of performances, redemption, traditional games and offering throughout the campaign period from 18 May until 24 June 2018. Check out below
