328 Katong Laksa & Old Chang Kee @ United Square Singapore

Unlike Penang, Singapore laksa actually refers to curry mee in Penang. It is a bowl of noodles with coconut milk broth, with option to include chili to spice it up. Although we have never tried any other laksa in Singapore, we were deeply impressed by 328 Katong Laksa. The coconut milk broth was amazing and it overwhelmed our mouth with the aromatic coconut scent. Chili paste was provided at the counter and you can take as much as you like. We took some and stir it to the broth, resulted a perfect concoction. Coupled with the fresh ingredients and al dente noodles, this scrumptious bowl of laksa definitely will hook up the patrons who have tried it. 

We liked the fact that during ordering the staff asked us whether we want to include cockles or not. I personally prefer the addition of cockles as it gave some extra biting ingredients in the bowl of noodles. 

Anyhow, our experience was based on our visit to 329 Katong Laksa at United Square, Novena. The experience might differ in different branches.
