Yam Rice is well known in Bukit Mertajam but this stall
definitely offers one of the most outstanding yam rice. A very traditional
coffee shop operates along Jalan Murthy, Bukit Mertajam. You will need to spend
some luck locating a car park spot nearby.
Directly proceed to the stall and place your order with the
staff and they will provide you a number. If you are in a rush, be prepared as
this café is packed and you may need to wait some time before you food arrives.
You could smell a pleasant aroma when the yam rice is being
served on the table. The fragrance of the rice even escalates when it is placed
on your taste buds. Served with salted vegetable pork soup with pork balls and
the combination of dark soy sauce and chilis, it pleases your craves for some
exotic food.
I had the boss excluded pork livers, intestines form the
salted vegetable pork soup as I am not a fan of it. You could always tell the
boss the combination of the ingredients you would like to have in the soup.
Stewed pork trotter is available as well but no pictures as
I do not know how to enjoy it.
