Bai Wei Xian 百味鲜沙县小吃 is a relatively new eatery in Jelutong area that has quickly gained attention for its unbeatable, wallet-friendly prices, with noodles starting from as low as RM 5. Specialising in Shaxian delicacies, the menu focuses on comforting staples such as noodles, dumplings, and buns. Simple yet tummy satisfying choices for everyday dining. If you are familiar with the economy rice at Restaurant Pulau Pinang, you may have noticed Bai Wei Xian tucked just two shop lots away.
Parking in this area can be rather challenging, but the cozy dining space makes it a nice spot for a quick and fulfilling meal if you are in the vicinity.

| Pan-Fried Bun 3 pieces (RM 6) |
One item worth checking out is their Pan-Fried Bun. Crisp on the outside and pork within, each bite paired with the peanut butter sauce makes each bites feels indulgent. The Xiao Long Bao, however, was fairly decent and did not stand out as much.
We also tried the Scallion Oil Noodles, priced at only RM5, but we opted for the set instead. The set comes with a hearty bowl of warm Lotus Root Soup, making it a more complete meal. Personally, we enjoyed the noodles best when mixed with vinegar and chilli oil for an extra punch of flavour. On next visit, we shall have the Shaxian signature Peanut Butter Noodles.
Another dish we ordered was the Lean Pork Rice, served with a generous portion of rice, plenty of vegetables, and a plate of steamed lean pork. While the taste was relatively mild and straightforward, it was filling and offered a balanced meal.
Overall, Bai Wei Xian is a solid option for affordable, no-frills Chinese comfort food, a great option for a quick meal without burning a hole in your wallet.
