A fresh poppws up in the Sungai Ara café scene,Mono Haus, a corner-lot café tucked along Tingkat Kenari, close vicinity to the iconic KFC Desa Ria Sungai Ara. I was pretty hyped to check it out, especially got so lucky to find a legit parking spot in fron tthe cafe...until a car abruptly squeezed into the non-parking space right in front of mine.
I confronted the driver, but she refused to move and insisted I could still come out, technically yes, but only after muliple awkward maneuvers. My mood definitely took a dip. And guess what? She walked straight into Mono Haus and, from the way she carried herself, she is likely the owner, partner, or at least someone working there. Not the best first impression, honestly.
Anyway, I gave myself a little reset and decided to continue my café hopping mission/
Mono Haus actually has a cozy, modern vibe, lots of warm wood tones, airy seating, and a chill ambiance that is nice for catching up with friends. For folks living around Sungai Ara where café are still fairly limited, this place definitely fills a gap.

The menu is pretty extensive. Early birds get a full breakfast selections: Shakshouka, toast, American breakfast plates, bagels, wraps and yogurt bowls. The menu photos look promising and very appetising. From 11am onward, they switch to a Western leaning menu featuring appetizers, pasta, burgers, bagels, quesadillas, sandwiches and wraps. Plenty of choices for different palates.
