Gurney Paragon Mall by Hunza Group has officially ushered in the festive season with the launch of its Christmas campaign, “Christmas Reimagined.” The celebration was accompanied with the lighting of a 35-foot Christmas tree at the Atrium, marking the start of a season of wonder, joy and togetherness.
This year’s theme invites visitors to pause and rediscover the warmth and magic of the holiday season — to reimagine what Christmas means to them. Inspired by a whimsical fairytale scene, the Atrium is adorned in soft pink, gold and champagne tones, complemented by twinkling fairy lights. A child’s slide takes centre stage, symbolising childlike joy and a reminder that the heart of Christmas lies in small, simple moments amid the rush of the holidays.
The launch was graced by En Abdul Hadi Che Man (Director of Tourism Malaysia (Northern Region)) while led by Ms Khor Tze Ming (Hunza Group Executive Director) and Ms Koay Bee Fong (Chief Operation Officer of Gurney Paragon Mall). Ms Ong Lay Keow (Guardian of Ruyi Children's Home) was also present together with 12 children from the home aged between 5 to 22 years old.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, Gurney Paragon Mall collaborated with its newly opened tenant, Ban Bu Dian, to host a special festive dinner and gift-giving session for children from Ruyi Children’s Home — a gesture that reflects the mall’s commitment to community and compassion.

The spirit of Christmas gives us a meaningful opportunity to inspire togetherness and create lasting memories,” said Ms Khor Tze Ming in her address.

The event also featured a captivating opening performance titled “Tidings of Joy, A Dance of the Christmas Spirit” by Penang Modern Dance Ensemble (Euphoria) — a group founded and funded by the Penang State Government and proudly supported by Hunza Group.
