The newly opened Bulu Bulu Cafe by Hunt & Hound in Georgetown has quickly taken social media by storm, all thanks to its star resident - an adorable Capybara! While the experience to get up close with the animals here, they too offer food and drinks too.
This 3 storey lot have the ground floor serves as dining area, the two upper floors have been transformed into a mini indoor zoo featuring different themed rooms - homes to reptiles, farm anials and forest creatures. It's not meant to be an educational zoo per se, but rather a space where both adults and kids can meet these animals in real life.
There are two ways to visit:
1. Pay an entrance fee of RM 38, or
2. Dine in by ordering at least one food and one drink per person, including for children.
Before entering, everyone is required to remove their shoes, and if you are not wearing socks, don't worry as the cafe provides a complimentary pair.
The menu focus on Western-style food that is friendly for both adults and children. Nothing to wow about the food but is decent enough in term of taste and portion to fill up the tummy. Space can feel a little cramped especially when a lot visitors come at the same time. It would worth the visits if you are looking for different kind of cafe experience.
