Indoya 梦雅餐厅 Thai Indo Fusion Restaurant @ Jelutong, Penang

One of the busiest street in Jelutong, Jalan Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim somehow host a small Thai and Indo fusion cuisine shop - Indoya which has been operating here for about 2 years. At daytime, the shop is a beauty centre (though food stalls also operates at the sametime) but light iluminates the shop at night time and turned it to a cozy space. Parking may be a hassle here in day time but at night time you can park at neighbouring shoplots that stopped operating. It is notable that Indoya is a pet friendly restaurant and occasionally you may see people bringing their pets dining together here.

The Thai Tomyam Mama Mee is the first thing that enticed us in the menu. Although it appears to be cooked from the packet instant noodles but the restaurant elevated it taste by adding chili pepper and lime slices, along with some pork slices, enoki mushrooms and an egg. The soup is fiery hot and tangy in taste, which is so addictive for someone who enjoys Thai food.

You can order the Jumbo set that served with prawns and roasted pork to enjoy it along with a few fellow friends.

The signature Nasi Ayam Pandan Honey is comforting food too. The pandan chicken thigh is well marinated and nicely scented with pandan flavour. Though the sambal was not the traditional style of sambal in conventional Nasi Lemak, it was good enough to eat along with the white rice. Overall, this is a simple and nice dish to have.

Indoya also has Thai Moo Ping which serves well as snacks. It is perfectly marinated with sdecent peppery flavour.

The Thai Cha Yen is served in a distinctie Tiki mug. It was too sweet for us to enjoy.

Overall, Indoya is a nice place to come to enjoy some comforting food without denting your wallets. The night atmosphere where it was illuminated with lights also made it pretty enjoyable to dining here.
