Our food adventure brought us into this unknown territory - Sungai Pinang apartment area and we were surprised to discover 2 real delicious food here - Edha Apom Balik and an unnamed Nasi Lemak! Operating in the afternoon, these 2 modest stalls command a good reputation amongst the locals as we witnessed queue was piling up especially for the Nasi Lemak.Â
There are a variety of Apom Balik with different fillings, and you got to be patient as the aunty takes her time to prepare the food. However, rest assured you will be rewarded gastronomically. It comes with thin crust and aromatic peanuts & corn (the basic filling). Not only it tastes good but it is cheap as well - RM 0.80 for a basic Apom Balik!Â
A Nasi Lemak stall will be setup about 5pm, offering about 10 different dishes and you can see people regardless of race throng in to get a few packets. Our packet that costs us RM 6.30 - with coconut rice, a piece of chicken, anchovies & peanuts and vegetables. Quite a good deal. The curries were good and the fried chicken was tender. It makes a good dinner for sure!Â
