Have you heard of Rumah Senget? Also known as MnM Home Whimsical Houses, Rumah Senget is located in a remote location in Changlun, Kedah. If you are heading or coming back from Hatyai or Betong, why not make a detour 30 minutes and spend an afternoon here? There are many nice places that offer you great opportunity to snap some great photos, check it out here! Entrance is RM 35 per pax as of August 2018.
There is a cat house near to the Rumah Senget but sometimes it is locked to prevent the cats roam around within the vicinity (even though the cats know how to come back to their house). Thus, if you intend to play with the cats, just request from the friendly owner that you would like to visit the cats. There are about 10 cats I supposed inside the house.Â
One of the major attraction here is their upside-down house. Step in there for some imaginary creative shots!Â
There is a hobbit house too in one of the corner. Everything is miniature here just like the hobbits you see in the movie Lord of the Rings. Although it ain't as impressive as the hobbits village in New Zealand but this should be enough to impress the kids.Â
The other side of the attraction houses a mini zoo that host a few types of animals such as rabbits, turkeys, deers, goats, chickens and peacock. You can get close to those animals in 0 distance!Â
Then there is a small room that houses some hedgehogs beside the main entrance. Ask the owner to grant you access to the room and play with the friendly hedgehogs. Be careful not to drop these small and fragile creatures!Â
Overall, it is an afternoon well spent here. We personally think it would serve as a great attraction for family with kids. Though the location might be a draw off but is worth the effort to drive here.Â
