Colourful Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner @ Main Street Cafe, Cititel Penang

Head to Cititel Penang to enjoy their Colourful Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner, and unwrap the wide spread of goodies that brought by Santa Claus for the buffet. The Colourful Christmas Eve Buffet of Cititel Penang is being hosted at its flagship restaurant, Main Street Cafe. It has undergo tremendous transformation to reflect the Christmas ambiance, with Christmas tree greeting you at the entrance of the restaurant, then Santa red socks hanging at the wall and various Christmas decorations such as Santa, Christmas Tree and etc dazzling the food served.

Start light with cheese and make your own combination of platter with cheese of varying texture such as Edam Cheese, Cheddar Cheese or the exotic Blue Cheese, accompanied by various dried fruits and nuts. While eating cheese might not be Malaysian's culture, it is great to make an exception since it is Christmas right?

Rojak and Salad

Then, challenge yourself with seafood on ice section with raw oysters for a boost of zinc, or mussels, prawns, scallops, spanner crab and yabby for iodine supplies.

Lobster bisque

If you must know, our favorite for the night would be the lobster bisque. Its thick flavour is irresistible, and goes very well with some breads served aside. A lighter version of soup would be Curried butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed, but somehow it sets a more subtle peppery and spices taste.

The must try satay with peanut sauce, to complete your Christmas with "BBQ".

Next, stroll to their hot dishes counter and make a plate full of wonderful goodies such as Steak Diane, Lamb Stew Navarin, Roasted Duck, Slipper Lobster Thermidor, Oyster Gratin, Braised Red Cabbage with Apples, and Brussels sprout and chestnuts and smoke chicken. Check out for the spaghetti as we really in love with the nicely seasoned and al-dente spaghetti noodles! 

Remember to get the chef at the craving station for a few slices of the must try for every Christmas buffet dinner -  traditional roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce or giblet dressing, or get a slice of the classic Beef Wellington.

Last but not least, give yourself a sweet end but submerge in the bed of Christmas desserts ranging from Chocolate brownies, Christmas pudding, Christmas cookies, Stolen, Yule Log and Ginger Bread. In fact, they are not really sweet and had the sweetness fine tuned to the right level. Oh yup, they have 7 different type of ice cream as well, thus make your very own bowl of "Ice Cream 7 Benua".
