The calm state of Perlis in the most northern part of Penisular Malaysia gets unusual robust during the evening of Ramadan month, especially at its Bazaar Ramadan sites. One of the most frequented Bazaar Ramadan is nearby Bulatan Jubli Emas, or more precisely, directly opposite of Pusat Khidmat Pelanggan TNB Kangar. Various foods are sold here and we can tell there is a difference after been to the Bazaar Ramadan in 4 different states in Malaysia.
As 2017 Ramadan month coincide with the blossoming of the pride of Perlis mangoes - Harum Manis. That is why raw mangoes or mangoes pulut (sticky rice) can be seen across the Bazaar. Just for a head up, a kilogram of Harum Manis in Perlis is usually sold for RM 35.Â
