iggo Cafe @ Setia Alam, Selangor

We were introduced to this cafe - iggo Cafe by one of our friend who frequent dining out in Setia Alam. She strongly recommended here over their simple yet delicate dishes, plus she has been regularly patronizing this cafe.. Since it is a local's suggestion then we just followed suit. Never ever doubt the local's recommendations right?

The menu featured a list of brunch dishes, while other conventional items such as sandwiches, salads, pastas and mains are available to order when the cafe comes into operation. Above picture depicted a set of Iggo's Ego (RM 21.00) , which comes with hashbrown, sausage, sauteed mushroom, baked tomato and scrambled egg on toasted bread. It looked like a typical American style breakfast but with smaller portion.

If you are a small eater or plan to have a lighter breakfast for the day, pick for a smaller serving of brunch set and add on accordingly. For instance, Scrambled Eggs on Toast (RM 8.00) is a simple breakfast with a serving of complement salad, and we added saute mushroom (RM 5.00) and baked tomato (RM 3.00). It looked exactly like Iggo's Ego but with the absence of hashbrown and sausage, suitable to start the day without any fried food for healthy reasons.

Smoked Duck and Cheese Sandwich (RM 16.00) comes with a serving of fries and salad, and we opted to upgrade to croissant bread by topping another RM 2.00. The croissant is well baked and possess fluffy texture, though personally we prefer it to be served slightly warmer. Sandwiched in between the croissant were the smoked duck, cheese and with two slices of pickles. The filling combination was great, then we particularly enjoyed the tender and aromatic smoked duck.

We spotted they have a series of signature drinks and ordered one for trial after confirming with the server the details of it. Half N Half Iced Shaken Coffee (RM 12.00) is slightly creamy than usual coffee due to the blending of ice cream into the coffee. It was served chilled and the milky texture was enjoyable. If you would like an ice cream floating on top, go for their "down under" series.

Since we were here during brunch hour, we have to give the pasta and mains a skip, otherwise we would end up with a full stomach for lunch. Overall the dishes were great, and we have faith on the qualities of their mains and pastas definitely.
