Sushi Jiro & Don Jiro @ Gurney Plaza, Penang

Sushi Jiro & Don Jiro has finally established in Penang, bringing some cheers to Penangites whom are looking for more options for Japanese food in the island. Sushi Jiro is well known of serving its sushi plates at an affordable price tag, and it comes really helpful for both the wallet and appetite for all of us in this bad economy time.

Moreover, in conjunction with the new opening promotion, Sushi Jiro is offering RM 2.99 per sushi plate if you eat 5 plates or above. That includes sashimi plate as well. What a bargain!

If you are not a big fan of Sushi and looking for Donburi instead, you may cross order the Donburi from Don Jiro. However, you are required to pay first at Don Jiro, then they will give you an order number to bring over to Sushi Jiro. 

The Katsu Don (RM 9.99) is priced at a rather wallet-friendly price tag and topped with generous amount of chicken cutlet and simmered with a 3/4 cooked egg. We thought the chicken cutlet could be much crisp, however at this price tag, it was well worth the price.
