Bak Kut Teh / Fish Head Bee Hoon opposite Tesco Extra @ Sungai Dua, Penang

I'd be glad if such stall exists nearby my university when I was still an university student, as I had to travel some distance away if I were yearning for some decent food to gratify my stomach. Located just within the vicinity of USM Penang Island branch, this modest stall opposite Tesco Extra should be a popular spot for students' dine in.

The stall has no name and it stated they are only selling Bak Kut Teh and Fish Head Bee Hoon. However when we approached the menu, we spotted tomyam is on the list. Without much hesitation, we ordered tomyam instead of fish head noodles.

Spicy lovers would enjoy this bowl of tomyam as it is more skewed to the spicy type, with virtually no conventional tomyam sour taste. A few pieces of fish fillets accompanied the dish but it lacks the crispiness of the fried fish fillets.

We ordered claypot bak kut teh but the soup was served in a bowl instead. The zesty soup ticks all the columns for bak kut teh. Not the best but worth for a returning trip during a rainy night. The total damage for one sugar cane drink, one bowl of bak kut teh and one bowl of tomyam is RM16.80.

Free flow of chili and customize your own condiments to your preference.

It took us some time to have a look and figure what to eat at this extensive menu.
