Char Koay Teow Parit/Longkang @ Bayan Baru, Penang

Don't be revolted by the Char Koay Teow's name itself. Since the year 1976, it has been very popular in the neighborhood for their CKT Basah until 5 in the morning. Located at the intersection between Jalan Mahsuri and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, you will find a humble stall without any signage or banner selling under the trees. Next to CKT, cheap western foods are sold with price as low as RM 5 at Uncle Lan'z stall.

CKT Biasa (RM 3.50), as expected very saucy. Strong wok hei still contained despite it's watery form. Fresh prawn with little clam and bean sprout were fried together. It could be quite spicy for spicy intolerance. Another pick would be their CKT Besar, come with extra big and fresh prawns. Although this might not be their main highlight, but can try out their fried rice too.

Their big Milo boxes filled with pickled chili amazed us. It looks as if the chilies has been kept pickle for years. The addition of the chillies throw in extra sour relish to the savoury CKT.

Seldom to find Grilled Chicken in midnight especially at the price of RM 5. The portion in overall is proportional to the price. Although the chicken a little dry while the fries has already cold, but we wouldn't complain more for this price.
