It is exciting to find Espresso Lab made their emergence to join the Penang's coffee market. They have already achieved 14 outlets throughout Malaysia and another in Singapore. As the name implies, their coffee is brewed with their in house brand of coffee beans. Unlike other outlets, they are focusing on coffee, pastries and cakes, no main course is available. Located at the open space on Queensbay first floor, it is easy to spot this cafe when you take the north zone escalator. Simple seating makes it a great place for a quick caffeine recharge.
New York Cheese cake (RM 12) was mediocre at first scoop, but surprisingly the richness of the cheese begin to register and getting bolder after few scoops. The texture was soft, moist and not greasy to our liking. Â
Spotted Melbourne Ice Coffee (RM 16) from their menu and we decided to give it a try. This decision didn't disappoint us though, a great pleasure of caffeine boost.
